Conglomeration??

What do you think while seeing this picture? When did this guy go to Europe??? My friends, this is not Europe. Its in the very soil of India and West Bengal. Clicked it last August on a trip to especially this place. This is the Hangseshwari temple in Bansberiya, much near to Kalyani. Actually this one is the newer temple made beside the old temple shown below

The temple complex is truely picturesque with the flora and cleanliness. But what amazes is the various architectural forms in the same place. On the walls of this old temple, sculptures are made similar to other renowned old temples of India as in Khajuraho as well as in Orissa.

As you have seen in the first image, the temple is made in Europian architectural form, there is more to see when one enters the temple. The following photographs show both the Hindu lotus in the ceiling and a Mughal kind of structure inside the temple.

I don't think its worth writing any more. Pay a visit and see for yourself. Although I think Conglomeration is not the right caption but it was the only word that popped up.
